Our School Prayers
Prayer is an opportunity for children and staff to be still and listen as well as speak to God.
To support prayer life and these listening and speaking conversations, we have set prayers that children learn and say on every single school day.
|Our Morning Prayer||Our Before Lunch-time Prayer|
Oh my God you love me,
Bless us Oh God as we sit together,
School Sorry Prayer
Our Home Time Prayer
Oh my God, because you are so good
I am very sorry that I have sinned against you
and with your help
I will try not to sin again
Now the day is over,
As well as these prayers, we also know:
- Our Father
- Hail Mary
- The Eternal Rest
- The Glory be (in Years 5 and 6)
In addition to the above, children and staff are also invited to pray spontaneously either individually or as part of a larger group.

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord:
(We bow from this point until we have said the name 'Mary')
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
In addition to this, each class has its own prayer book which the children contribute to, and they are often asked to write their own prayers, especially in the senior year groups.
