Jubilee Year 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
Celebrating the Jubilee Year at St Mary's.
At St Mary’s, we are excited to join the global Church in celebrating the Jubilee Year, a special time of renewal, reflection, and joy. As a school rooted in faith, we are embracing this opportunity to grow together in spirit and community.
This Jubilee, we are reminded that we are pilgrims on a journey—walking in faith and hope. To symbolize this, we have created our Footprint Jubilee Door. Each footprint represents a member of our school community, and together they form a path of discipleship and discovery. This door is a powerful visual reminder throughout the year that we are journeying together, led by Christ.
As part of our pilgrimage, we are planning a school-wide walk around Chippenham, stopping at key locations for prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving. This will be a chance for students and staff to experience the spirit of pilgrimage in our local setting—taking time to connect with God, one another, and the world around us.
In September, we will launch our Creation Art Gallery, a celebration of God's creation through student artwork. This project invites every child to express their awe, gratitude, and responsibility for the world we share. The gallery will be open to families and the wider community as a joyful expression of faith through creativity.
Finally, the Chaplaincy teams at St Mary’s have worked together to make a Jubilee Pledge—a personal commitment to live more fully in love, service, and care for others.
Together, let us walk with purpose, celebrate with joy, and grow in faith during this Jubilee Year.
