Mental Health and Well-Being at St Mary's

At St Mary’s, we know that our children are becoming more confident when talking about their mental health. It’s something that we talk about in whole school worship and in class on a regular basis; children know who they can talk to and, perhaps most importantly, know that they will be listened to. Ensuring that our children feel happy and safe is an intrinsic part of our everyday life in school.
We have a whole school approach to Mental Health and Well-Being and through ongoing activities across the year, celebrating week's such as Children's Mental Health week and targeted support for those children who need it, we hope that all of our children will feel empowered and encouraged to prioritise their mental and physical well-being.
Our aim is that, through positive relationships and our universal offer to support mental health and well-being in school, all children will flourish now and in the future.
